Why This Room Works

A loft bed with a built-in staircase makes the most of this shared space. The area underneath can be used to house a second bed, or to create a play or study space if sleeping arrangements change later on. A blue-and-white color scheme accented with shades of gray keeps the farmhouse theme modern. Buffalo-check bedding combines with playfully printed sheets to create a fun, layered look. To tie it all together, we painted a plaid design on the walls in a coordinating color scheme.
