Cheesy Popcorn
-
Popcorn is a favorite snack in my house. I love that it feels like a treat for my kids, but since it's loaded with fiber and free of sugar, I don't feel like I'm letting them fill up on junk food.

“Grated Parmesan cheese adds protein and a huge hit of flavor to basic popcorn. For Halloween, a sprinkling of turmeric and paprika is a natural way to add festive color.
”
Ingredients
- 10 cups popped popcorn, unpopped kernels removed
- 4 tablespoons melted butter or canola oil
- 1/4-1/2 teaspoon turmeric
- 1/4-1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Preparation
Place the popcorn in a large bowl. In a small bowl, combine the butter or oil and the spices. Whisk until well combined. Pour the spice mixture and Parmesan cheese over the popcorn and toss until well combined. (The popcorn will begin to take on the color of the spices.) Serve in individual bowls or in a large popcorn bowl. The popcorn can be served immediately or held for up to 3 hours.
