When professional baseball player Mike Yastrzemski isn't in the outfield playing for the San Francisco Giants, he's at home with his loving wife, yoga instructor, Paige Yastrzemski. The two recently started expanding their family with the arrival of their infant daughter Quinley. To help them prepare her nursery, the couple enlisted our trusted Design Crew experts to show them how to define their style and hit a home run with the new space.

The pair knew they wanted a classic aesthetic, with fun modern accents that would add a bit of flair. The goal was to go light, bright and transitional for the toddler years ahead. "We wanted to create a warm area where our daughter feels like she can learn, grow and express herself," said the new parents.

Knowing where they wanted to start was a great jumping-off point for the team tasked with creating the perfect oasis for Quinley. "We leaned on the Design Crew to help cultivate several idea boards to work off of to make our vision a reality," said the couple. Working in tandem got the creativity flowing and helped them incorporate items and colors the couple hadn't originally thought of. "At first, we thought we wanted everything to match but the Design Crew helped us discover pieces that we fell in love with and are now a focal point of our nursery, like the Blossom Chandelier.”

When it came to finding the room's core pieces, the pair went for neutral finishes that added longevity to the grow-with-them designs. The crib that checked all of their boxes was the Blythe 3-in-1 Upholstered Convertible Crib. "We loved how it looked as a crib, toddler and big-girl bed. What excited us the most is that we know it will grow with all the stages of our daughter’s life and style," the couple remarked.

After the crib was selected, the color palette was finalized. Warm whites and creams were added in to compliment the grounding grey-based finish. Sweet blush and gold tones were used as accent colors, giving the room a soft and calming quality. With the space nearly complete, all it needed was the perfect place to sit. "The Dream Manual & Power Swivel Glider Recliner is by far our favorite piece in the nursery. It is the single most comfortable chair we have ever sat in," said the couple. With a place to gently rock and read to Quinley, their dream oasis was finished.
