When Chantelle Paige realized her guest room was prime real estate for a new playroom, the Senna Case founder called our Design Crew to come to her rescue. Her must-have list included dual functionality for potential guests and plenty of storage options to house the toys and books for her two small children. The result was a sophisticated and super chic multi-purpose room where the kids could play freely and the adults felt more than welcome.
I love the handcrafted and functional items Pottery Barn Kids has to offer.

Creating a space that felt inviting and matched the aesthetic of the house inspired the warm, neutral color palette. “Our home is very subdued in color, and I like keeping with the earthy and white tones," said Paige. Finding just the right pieces that complimented one another was easy with the help our Design Crew experts. “I knew I wanted white [furniture], so adding the wood warmed that up a bit, and the rug tied the two together,” Paige said. The personal touches and exclusive finds maintained a cohesive look that feels uniquely hers. “I love the handcrafted and functional items Pottery Barn Kids has to offer,” she said.
I wanted to make it as easy as possible to have that Montessori style of play.

One thing you'll notice is that there is no shortage of tasteful storage options. The Preston Wall System and Bookcase were perfect for creating extra room without disrupting the design flow. “I love bins you can easily rotate toys from bottom to top, and they make cleanup so easy," said Paige. Fostering self-sufficiency is just one of the perks of having things so accessible. "I wanted to make it as easy as possible to have that Montessori style of play", she said.

Keeping important elements low to the ground and within reach is a great way to keep kids engaged and entertained. Placing the West Elm x PBK Mid-Century Wall System Bases under the windowsill for extra seating and using the Carolina Activity Table instead of a coffee table added style and incredible practicality. “The Design Crew [offered] suggestions that made the space feel warmer and even cozier,” Paige said. Overall, her expectations were exceeded, and the entire family is looking forward to using this special space for more time together.
