Healthy, happy and peaceful. Those are the words that spring to mind when actress, yogi and mother of two Andrea Bogart Almås sits back and takes in her new nursery space. Inspired by nature and her photographer husband’s Scandinavian roots, Almas wanted to create a wooded oasis in her Northern California Wine Country home — one that was flooded with light and grounded in harmony. With the help of Pottery Barn Kids Design Crew Expert, Kelli, that idea of conscious living was brought to life with a safe and sustainable place for the Almås family’s latest arrival.

From there, they were able to create a vision that built upon a bright white base and added in calming patterns, earth tones and just enough texture to bring in a layer of warmth. “We feel like we live in a sanctuary amongst nature in Wine Country so that often inspires us to bring that quality of energy into our home,” said Almås.

When recalling the pieces she chose for her little one’s new space, Almås said, “We love it all!
